About
It all started when…
I came to photography during a period of recuperation, looking for a way to stay creative while stepping back from my work as an animator. I’d always enjoyed taking pictures in a casual, point‑and‑shoot way, but in 2018 I decided to take it more seriously. I bought a camera, headed into Richmond Park, and set myself a simple challenge: no auto mode, and try to make photographs that felt like mine.
I didn’t know what I was looking for at first, but I quickly found myself drawn to the quieter details — the textures, patterns, and small moments that sit just beyond the obvious view. Richmond Park is a well‑loved place for photographers, so I try to seek out compositions I haven’t seen before. Sometimes that works; sometimes I just come home with a classic Pen Ponds sunrise. Either way, I nearly always come home muddy, and always smiling.
My work has since been recognised in the inaugural Natural Landscape Photography Awards, where I was commended in the Intimate & Abstract category, and in the Black & White category of the 15th Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards.
Alongside photography and animation, I run Bike Ink — a small cycling‑inspired design project where I bring together my love of clean, intentional design and the culture of the sport.
